Its never too late to ...................


Hopelessly unsporty as a child, Rosie Swale Pope never made the hockey team. But at the age of 57, in 2003, she ran around the world.

Raised in Limerick Ireland, she set off from home in Tenby, UK and returned four years, 10 months later, having run 20,000 miles

The future is now: Adventure racing


Another successful adventure race event recently, the Wicklow Adventure Race on April 17th with 800 entries enjoyed fantastic weather conditions, etc. This sport is clearly going from strength to strength, growing in popularity for the adventurous Irish adrenalin endorphin seekers.................... and lots of other choices coming up too if you don't want to miss out.
But definitely not in these shoes!!!

He ran 1,000 miles – 43 consecutive marathons – followed by a motorised rickshaw (with the camera crew) and an ice-cream van (with Flake 99s)


Last year, Eddie Izzard more used to 6 inch heels than runners did 43 consecutive marathons and finished in the unremarkable unknown welsh town of Builth Wells (pop. approx 2,000). More here....

She's Ireland's top adventure racer - Fiola Foley finished an impressive 16th in the Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge with team Irish AR Galtee. But she's now turning her attention to an Ironman and the Powerman (Long Distance Duathlon World Championships). See more.......
