Great story on Morning Ireland this morning involving young children in a County Meath school which commenced in September and culminated in the final 2+km yesterday. Students covered the 42km distance in 12 weeks..... hear the full story: RTE's Morning Ireland

240km ultramarathon achievement before her 50thieth birthday

And she did it in a record time of 32 hours 31 minutes. Pam Muston competes in six or seven marathons each year, but this was the longest distance she had ever attempted at once. She had completed only one 100km race to qualify for the COAST TO KOSCIUSZKO (in Auz) and won the 240km in record time. Brilliant stuff, stories like this warm my heart.... it never ceases to amaze me what people can achieve.

Have a look at the story on The Canberra Times:

Beat this new year resolution

52 marathons in 52 weeks - how many shoes and shoe laces is that? And he's already suffering "runners knee". Apparently he's doing one marathon in Northern Ireland - anybody heard of this guy Tristan Miller or know which Irish marathon he's doing.

Incredible challenge - will he achieve it?

Read about 27 year old Charles Barkowski III today? He plans to travel and run those distances in that time frame? Even using the time zones travelling east to west, you have to fit in with air travel timings and stiff legs and then run a marathon and do it all again tomorrow and the day after and the day after that............
